Creating and maintaining a natural backlink profile can be hard work and we have been working with publishers to offer 3 different types of link placement types to help you mix up your articles and keep it natural. This can also be important if E.E.A.T is something you are working on for your sites.

How do you specify your link type?

During the personalisation process, you have the option to select how you would like the link to be inserted in the article.

After you approve the publisher you want, a pop-up will appear asking you to finish personalising the rest of the placement before it's added to the shopping cart.

The first option on the screen will ask you the Link Placement Type, make your selection from the dropdown box. Keep reading for more explanation on the different types of links:

Contextual Links

A contextual link is when we select a word or phrase within an article and insert a hyperlink back to the target website. This is the most common form of link placement and allows for greater control over your anchor cloud.

Here is one of our links with a branded anchor:

Image Links

When we write an article for the publisher, we can include an image that you provide and credit the image back to your website:

Bio Links

Bio links are great if you are building personal branding or focusing on E.E.A.T. You would typically supply a short bio for yourself or another key person of influence from your organisation and include a short write-up along with an image, this is then added at the bottom of the article and the link would be included within the bio:

Editorial Links

If you find an existing article that is truly relevant and supports what you'd like to say about your brand, with the publisher's approval, we will add around 200-250 words of additional content naturally including your link and enhancing the reader's experience while ensuring the publisher maintains fresh, up-to-date content on their platform:
