Order delays and why it happens

We aim for a 28-day turn-around time; however, sometimes delays happen.

Turnaround times on orders is a primary metric for the team here at NO-BS and we take delays very seriously. Sadly, delays do happen sometimes and we try to be as transparent as possible. Our business is positioned as a broker between the advertiser and the publisher and often there are delays that occur that are completely out of our hands but we promise that we will try our best to keep you up to date and find resolutions as quickly as possible.

Here are a few issues that we see regularly which might cause delays in your order

Publisher rejects content

We are working with legitimate publishers who have an audience and many of them take journalistic integrity seriously. Sometimes after we write an article, it's sent through to the publisher and they are not completely happy with it. The content is then sent back to the writer with feedback and follows the process of going back through the editorial team and sent to the publisher again.

Publisher schedules content

Some publishers who are uploading lots of their own content will schedule new posts for a future date to ensure there is a consistent stream of content going live for their audience, we find this more often with larger new outlets that have a large audience.

Waiting for the client to approve content

If you have chosen to make the final approval on content before it's sent to the publisher, you can expect delays. We find that on average it takes 3-5 days for clients to review and approve content before it can be sent to the publisher.

The publisher is non-responsive

Sometimes we can have a good working relationship with a publisher and they go dark on us, not because we have done anything wrong, but sometimes they might decide they no longer want to accept guest posts any longer or have just had enough of running their website. We will follow up with publishers 3 times over a 7-day period before getting in touch with the client to advise that we are awaiting a response from a publisher.
